Zwangsmigration

Die Entwicklung der letzten Jahrzehnte im Hinblick auf das Phänomen der Migration stellt für die einzelnen Menschen und ganze Länder u.a. menschliche, politische, wirtschaftliche u. kulturelle Herausforderungen dar. Dabei kann Migration freiwillig oder erzwungen sein. Nach dem Muster einer päpstlichen Enzyklika befasst sich der vorliegende Text mit der Zwangsmigration im engeren Sinne und will einerseits – aus der Tradition der Katholischen Soziallehre heraus – die Pflicht zur Ausübung christlicher Solidarität und Nächstenliebe in Erinnerung rufen. Auf der anderen Seite wird das Augenmerk auf den globalisierten Kontext unserer Welt gerichtet und auf Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten auf internationale, nationale und gesellschaftliche Ebene hingewiesen.

(Forced) migration as a challenge to Christian Solidarity

Draft of a social encyclical

The developments of the last decades regarding the phenomenon of migration pose human, political, economic and cultural challenges for individuals and entire countries. Migration may be voluntary or forced. Following the example of a papal encyclical, the present text deals with forced migration in the narrower sense and, on the one hand, seeks to remind us - from the tradition of Catholic social teaching - of the duty to practice Christian solidarity and charity. On the other hand, it takes into account the globalized context of our world and points to possibilities for implementation at the international, national and social levels.
