The new “Missionary Catechesis” certificate course is based on the bachelor's degree program “Theological Diakonia and Missionary Catechesis.” His particular focus is catechesis, i.e. the communication of faith today. As part of this continuing education, participants receive a foundation in the content and method of theological disciplines (e.g. dogmatics, philosophy, Old and New Testament), which enable them to communicate their beliefs today. In addition, courses in other disciplines (e.g. sociology and media psychology) enrich the curriculum with interdisciplinary content.

With a reduced workload of 60 ECTS-CP, it is particularly suitable for anyone who wants to qualify for volunteer work or would like to take a brief look at studying theology. The courses have a variety of formats (presentation lectures and block courses, digital and hybrid teaching formats), making the certificate course suitable for every life and professional situation.
