
The doctoral program in Catholic Theology confers the academic degree of Doctor of Theology. The degree program is intended to enable the doctoral student to make a significant contribution to scientific progress through his independently written scientific work in a discipline represented at the Cologne University of Catholic Theology and to have an appropriate breadth and depth of knowledge of the theological subject areas through his doctoral thesis, and through the oral doctoral examination.
During your doctoral program, you will deepen your theological knowledge and take courses in five key subject areas. All courses attended at KHKT are completed with an examination.
